Hi, I am Marise Frangie. I am a Certified Creighton Model FertilityCare Practitioner, Supervisor and Educator. I am very excited to share with you The Best Kept Secrets of Creighton Model FertilityCare System and NaProTECHNOLOGY. I have personally experienced the empowering effect of charting and understanding my cycles using the Creighton Model FertilityCare System and experienced the healing effect of NaProTECHNOLOGY . And I desire all of that for every woman, yes…every woman regardless of her age, race and religion because every woman deserves to know about her fertility and appreciate it.
I have been married to my wonderful husband Peter for over 18 years that have gone so fast but definitely left their impact on us as individuals and as a couple. Peter has been my number one support in this work since day 1. Without his support on every level (financial, spiritual, emotional, etc...) I can't serve women and couples as I do today. I CANNOT do it WITHOUT HIM. I am so grateful for everything he has done for me.
Our personal story
Allow me to share with you our personal journey with the Creighton Model. Our journey began in January 2007 when we were hit with the reality that we couldn’t achieve pregnancy and in vitro fertilization was offered to us as our only option.

Despair from making babies in the lab through IVF
"We will make you a baby in the lab" were words addressed to my husband and I by the fertility specialist many years ago. She said those words as if she was going to "make us a sandwich", no compassion, no care! Perhaps this appointment was the most painful part in our infertility journey. |

Not being able to get pregnant doesn't hurt me today as much as remembering those dehumanizing words. So many couples are struggling with infertility and resolve to the" making" of babies in the lab through in vitro fertilization because no alternative is given them. Sadly, they are left hopeless after failed in vitro fertilization (IVF). We, certainly could have also been in utter despair if the Lord had not intervened. But Our Lord did by providing us with a priest who convinced us to NOT pursue the artificial reproductive technique. As Divine Providence would have it, a friend also told us about Pope Paul VI institute for the Study of Human Reproduction. After realizing that the IVF procedure involved discarding the embryos, or freezing them or doing selective reduction, I was very convinced that this was not for me, not for us. I couldn’t imagine that to have our own baby, so many embryos would be destroyed in the process. My conscience and heart couldn’t take it. So we decided not to go that route and not do in vitro fertilization.
Hope restored
Shortly after that decision, I received information from my friend about the Pope Paul VI Institute in Omaha. I contacted them and began charting my cycle using the Creighton Model FertilityCare System with a local practitioner at their request. Hope was restored! NaProTechnology Medical consultants were able to treat my low progesterone and removed my mild endometriosis although the fertility specialist never detected hormonal problems. Knowing what impact the progesterone levels have on pregnancy, I think if we resorted to doing in vitro fertilization, it might’ve failed and we would have been very miserable.
Shortly after that decision, I received information from my friend about the Pope Paul VI Institute in Omaha. Our experience with the FertilityCare Practitioner and NaProTECHNOLOGY Medical Consultant was very positive and led me to becoming a FertilityCare Practitioner myself to tell everyone about the system. After I attended the introductory session to Creighton Model FertilityCare System in the spring of 2007, I woke up in the middle of the night, sat in my bed and said these exact words,“God didn’t bring me to the USA just to be a science high school teacher. He wants me to learn this and teach it to other women.” Not long after that, in November 2007, I began my education phase in the Creighton Model FertilityCare System. With over a decade of experience as a certified FertilityCare practitioner now, I decided in October 2016 to continue my education. I am now a certified Fertility Care Supervisor and Educator and I enjoy traveling to supervise and teach practitioner intern.

Journey of faith, healing and hope
Today I look back at the past eighteen years of our marriage and I see how the cross of infertility turned into a blessing in our life and our journey became one of faith, surrender & hope. Even though it seems to the world unsuccessful since we still don't have children, our marriage has been very fruitful in many ways and the Lord continues to bless us every day with health & gifts to use to serve Him. One of the most recent and powerful fruit of our married life is my husband Peter's ordination to the Holy Order of the Priesthood in the Maronite Catholic Rite in July 2021. God has a plan for our marriage and your marriage. It will bear fruit in many ways. Believe that! Believe His words for you and me in Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know well the plans I have in mind for you—oracle of the Lord—plans for your welfare and not for woe, so as to give you a future of hope.” |

Fear, Grace, and Truth
I feared for many years sharing our story with Lebanese people because I expected a comment like this one: “if the Creighton Model FertilityCare System and NaProTECHNOLOGY are offering healing and hope for couples struggling with infertility, how come you still have no children?” I had to overcome my fear and boldly proclaim the truth. Yes, the system adds a completely new dimension to the successful achievement of pregnancy in couples with infertility and other reproductive problems. With a cooperative medical approach to treatment from our NaProTECHNOLOGY Medical Consultants, success rates up to 80 percent have been observed. We don’t claim it is 100 %. Our doctors are dedicated to finding the problem, treating it and leaving the rest to God to allow the couple to conceive naturally and procreate with Him. In our case, the Lord’s plan for us is to bring fruit through our marriage in many different ways even through spiritual parenthood. With the grace of God, I am no longer afraid to stand in front of people to share with them this beautiful message hidden from couples and women.

Our Hope is in Heaven!!!
On December 5th, 2009, I had my metanoia moment at an event that we attended for the first time in Manhattan called Catholic Underground, which consists of Eucharistic Adoration run by the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal. Few weeks earlier, I received an email about it and I was able to convince Peter to go to it so we can do something different to prepare ourselves for Christmas. The days leading up to that unforgettable Saturday I was very hopeful that thsi would be the time for us to successfully achieve a pregnancy. In the morning, my dreams were crushed when I found out I was not pregnant and my inner struggling and doubting God's love for me reached its peak during the day. I cared less about going to the Holy Hour because I was disappointed with God. However, the Holy Spirit worked through Peter who insisted on us going. When we got there around 7:45, evening prayer had already ended and the church was in darkness except for candles on the altar and between the pews (the friars say there were no candles between the pews but we saw them!!!). The friars were singing and sharing stores focused on the theme of the first week of the Advent season - HOPE. After the Holy Hour ended, I felt the need to go to reconcile with God through confession. There I poured out my heart to the priest confessing my anger and doubts in God's love. I sounded like a little child who has done everything right and deserves his treat yet he was not allowed to have it. I felt entitled to having children since I am a good person and I am trying to do everything according to Church's teachings. I can never forget the priest's genuine smile as he uttered those words " Our hope is in heaven, our hope is in heaven with and without children".
Those words were life changing experience for me and helped me greatly to completely surrender to the Lord in embracing this cross of infertility. I pray every person struggling with a heavy cross will be reminded that our hope is in heaven and this cross actually helps us get there.

Some facts about me!
- I am a Certified FertilityCare Practitioner (CFCP) Supervisor and Educator (CFCE)
- I have been blessed to be married for over 20 years to a wonderful and supportive man who got ordained in 2021 and became a priest in the Maronite Catholic Church.
- I am a professed member of Servants of God Secular Franciscan Fraternity and I am the Formation Director for my fraternity.
- I have a Master of Science degree in Chemistry and Master Degree in Environmental engineering
- I have 14 + years professional experience working with over a hundred women and couples dealing with infertility, miscarriage, PCOS, postpartum fertility, irregular cycles, PMS and more… teaching in different locations like Gianna Center in Manhattan and online to couples in Ecuador, Qatar, Lebanon..
- I like to read but I am always misplacing the books I am reading since I take them with me wherever I go.
- I enjoy cooking. My husband and I are known by our Franciscan family (the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal and associates) as the Lebanese couple who cook delicious meals. LOL!
- I enjoy walking and swimming which I do a lot over the summer while in Lebanon. I try to exercise but end up always canceling the gym membership because I can’t keep up. I guess it is true you make time for what you like!
- My passion to help women and others led me to pursue studies to become a spiritual director and help women come to an intimacy with the Lord. In June of 2024 I graduated with a certificate in spiritual direction from the Avila Institute and Heart of Christ Spiritual Direction program.
- I strive to use my God given talents to bring souls closer to Him through my social media accounts, YouTube Channel and podcasts like the Bible in a Year in Arabic - the translated version of Fr Mike Schmitz famous podcast Bible in a Year.
