Bible Study Based on the Mass Readings for Pentecost Sunday
Come Holy Spirit!!
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I pray all is well with you in these unprecedented times we are in.
As Pentecost approaches, I want to share with you a Bible Study based on the Mass/Divine Liturgy readings of Pentecost Sunday (May 31st, 2020) according to the Maronite Catholic Church (Acts 2:1-21 & John 14:15-20).
I invite you to do it in 5 days (each day will take about 10 minutes). Introduction can be read with day 1 or the day before day 1. Conclusion and resolution can be done along with day 5 or the following day. I suggest that you go through the readings and questions of each day one day at a time to give yourself opportunity to know more and grow closer to the Holy Spirit.
The prayers at the end of day 2,3&4 come from the Novena to the Holy Spirit which began yesterday Friday tomorrow May 22, 2020 and can be found here. You can pray this novena along with the Church or any other prayer to the Holy Spirit for 9 days for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on all of us in the Church and for our renewal.
My prayer is that this Bible Study will help all of us “grow in a relationship with this most precious gift from our God ------ His very breath ----- His very ruah ----- which for us, is our very breath ----- God's life giving Spirit!!!”
